Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the cometherobot.com website, its online services and the “Côme The Robot” companion apps. By using the site or the apps, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted them.
1. Purpose and publisher
The site presents the Côme family companion robot project, designed in France. The publisher can be reached at contact@cometherobot.com. Detailed legal information appears on the dedicated Legal notice page.
2. Description of the services
The services include: browsing the showcase site, joining the pre-order waiting list, creating an account, the contact form and, for robot owners, the companion mobile apps. The services are provided “as is” and may change, be suspended or discontinued at any time.
3. Access and availability
Access to the site is free of charge. We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, in particular for maintenance, updates or technical incidents. Some features require an Internet connection and, for the apps, a Côme robot and your home network.
4. User account
Creating an account requires a valid e-mail address and a password, or sign-in through a third-party provider (Google, Apple). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. You agree to provide accurate information. You may delete your account at any time from your account area; we may suspend an account in the event of a breach of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site or the apps for unlawful purposes, not to attempt unauthorised access, to disrupt their operation, to bypass security measures, to send malicious or automated content (bots, spam), or to infringe the rights of third parties.
6. Intellectual property
The texts, visuals, logos, the “Côme” name, the 3D renders and the site code are protected and remain the property of the publisher or its partners. Any reproduction or reuse without written authorisation is prohibited, except for strictly private use.
7. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. Côme was designed around the principles of data minimisation and local processing.
8. Pre-order
Any pre-order registration is governed by the specific Pre-order terms. A pre-order is merely a reservation, with no payment and no commitment to purchase, manufacture or deliver.
9. Liability and warranties
The site and the apps are provided without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the services. Links to third-party sites are provided for your convenience, without the publisher controlling their content. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to you by law as a consumer.
10. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may amend these Terms; the applicable version is the one online at the time of your use. These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may use a consumer mediator or the European online dispute resolution platform free of charge. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
