Why we're building Côme
It all started with a simple conviction: the technology we bring into our homes should warm up family life, not spy on it. Today's assistants listen to everything and send it all to the cloud. We wanted the opposite: a lovable companion, useful every day, whose data stays home.
Côme was born in our own home, imagined and tested with our own children. Every detail, from its gentle voice to its physical private mode, answers a question we asked ourselves as parents.

Your data stays home. Full stop.
Côme sees, hears and recognises, so we designed its privacy before anything else. It's simple: what happens in your home stays in your home.
Everything is stored locally
Faces, voices, your home map: everything stays encrypted inside Côme, at your place. Nothing is sent to any cloud without your explicit consent.
100% GDPR compliant
Explicit consent per person, face recognition off by default, one-tap right to erasure: compliance is built in by design.
Private mode is physical
A light turns on whenever a camera is active. In private mode, Côme “closes its eyes”: cameras and microphones are genuinely off.
You stay in control
A readable log shows you who connected and when. Every device can be revoked, every profile erased, at any time.
The remote video stream is end-to-end encrypted: even our servers cannot see it. And without internet, Côme keeps working at home.

Your questions, answered
When will Côme ship?
Côme is being industrialised. Pre-ordering secures your place in the queue: we'll keep you posted at every step, and you'll confirm (or not) your order at shipping time. No payment is taken today.
Is my data really safe?
Yes. Everything Côme learns (faces, voices, your home map) is stored encrypted inside the robot, at your home. Face recognition is off by default and requires each person's consent. Remote access is end-to-end encrypted: nobody but you can see inside your home. AI conversations go through Mistral, a European provider subject to GDPR.
Is Côme suitable for children?
Côme is designed for families: slow, smooth movements, a sturdy shell with no sharp edges, a physical emergency stop, age-appropriate content and child profiles supervised by parents. Like any device, it doesn't replace adult supervision.
Which music and video services are compatible?
Music: Deezer, Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music. Photos: Google Photos, Apple Photos. Video: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max and more. You connect your own accounts, only if you want to.
What if Côme meets an obstacle or stairs?
Its 360° LIDAR detects walls and furniture, its infrared sensors detect drops (stairs) and it stops immediately. A physical emergency-stop button cuts the motors at any time.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, for the essentials: moving around, local projection, local music, private mode. AI conversation and streaming services need your Wi-Fi. Away from home, the app works through an end-to-end encrypted relay.
Which languages does Côme speak?
Côme speaks and understands French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. Each family member can talk to it in their own language.
